Ignite concepts

G'day guys!

So just finished 4yrs of uni and now what? labour..that's what...hard working man labour. Not only labour but painful labour which reminds me, I got my very first rejection letter from John Sands greeting cards (it just feels good to know that I'm being rejected by the world's best).

Anyway I thought I'd take up the challenge of entering the Ignite Film Festival this year with an animation. It's called The Pit. It's more of a documentary of man (man kind) and how they run away from the creator God and fall into a big pit (sin) and basically covers the rest of the gospel finishing with John 3:16-21

"And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their deeds were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his deeds have been carried out in God.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God."

Anyway I'm off to a bad start already, thought it was due Nov, actually due July. plus I'm doing a fair bit of experimenting with imagery and line work. It will no way all look like the above image. The animation style will be similar to the bottom images, rough line work.

Anyway I've seriously got so much work to do on this, but don't hold ya breath. It may turn out to be a good portfolio piece but as for getting it done by the submission due date.... better not to ask!
